TST Footwork Development Process

TST is fundamentally about footwork and it's application in tight spaces.

As soon as players get involved they need to be working on the exercises that help them move the ball around their feet neatly, effectively and efficiently.

Start simply, and work on FFPs as soon as players are ready. As soon as a player has mastered a level, progress to the next level.

Below is quick snapshot of the main FFPs. Starts with DBVs and Turns. then looks at hte main 4....and keeps going.

Fundamental Footwork Patterns

In Context : Basic Ball Mastery : More advanced exercises *** .

*** In regards to ball moving exercises : Be creative : The examples below are just ideas. They don' t have to be practiced this way.

Plus remember cones are a constraint on time and space. If a players touch is bad - the cones will let them know.

Footwork is also developed naturally from playing games: 1v1s, 2v2s, 3v3s etc help reinforce good footwork.
