Identify what you need to work on.

Hopefully now you are in a position to list everything you will need to master.

Hopefully you can identify how much of a strength / weakness each component currently is.

Hopefully from this you can work out which components to prioritize.

Hopefully you can identify what phase (development / maintenance) a component is in.

Hopefully you can identify what needs to be in the next cycle, and how often you work on it in the next cycle.

Hopefully you can work out how much time you need to spend on the components that you have put in your cycle.

Hopefully you can apply 'deep practice' principles to your practice.

And in the process of identifying what to work on, always ask the question.

How will this make me a better player, and with this in mind,

is this the most important thing i should be doing right now?

What to do next

Create a list of components (use the previous page to help) and work out what components need to be worked on in the next cycle.

Note : You are primarily looking for components in the high priority development phase.

Whilst always making a space for those in the 'maintenance / restore / polish' phase.

Technique

Strength / Weakness  Phase  In next cycle

Physical

Strength / Weakness  Phase  In next cycle

Tactical

Strength / Weakness  Phase  In next cycle

Mental

Strength / Weakness  Phase  In next cycle

Try to do your own comprehensive list and try to develop you own ways to practice the components you need to work on. However, if you would rather use lists that have already been prepared then Click on the links below :
